I haven't heard of any unusual activities in this department. It's probably isolated to your machine. Maybe a re-install of drivers (both sound and video) are in order?

i posted about this too, they are quite sporadic and hard to narrow down. monk i think the best we can do is write down the circumstances of the crash and the resulting error code.

I only ever got them with TF which I posted about in another thread. Haven't had any issues since then though.

the problem is that my interest in alleg is waning, and if it takes effort on my part to make it work then I'm not gonna be all gung-ho to figure out why, especially when everything else works fine on my system.

... anyway, I just thought I'd mention it in case anybody else is having issues, too.

Cheers.

I did 2 times too.

Both times were when I was trying to defend a sector against a Garr Con attempting to plant. In the first I was firing and rmming it - the second I was firing near too it (but not touching).

Interesting, people on BOTH sides were crashing during that game; notjarvis was on the TF side defending against Giga cons. I was on the Giga side, and also crashed twice that game.

The first time, oddly enough, was when I docked my scout (lxy, I think) at a Giga starbase in a clean sector (no one else in the sector). I hit the green door, the "back-in-base" sound played, and the game then immediately crashed as it tried to display the in-base screen. This isn't the first time I've had weird crashes like that in empty or near-empty sectors in TF games, either.

The second time was during one of those con push battles - I was late to the party, came through the aleph (in an adv fig) into the sector, and IMMEDIATELY crashed the instant I entered the sector (which contained a whole lot of TF adv figs, Giga adv/lxy figs, Giga hvy/lxy scouts, a couple TF hvy ints, a TF Garr and Adv Sup, and a Giga starbase con); the error was EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Can I get all of you experiencing the crash to post a simple Template? Don't bother filling out the problems.

EDIT: And dxdiag as well.
