Callsign Reset and Reclamation

A Callsign Reset has just taken place, removing 1252 callsigns from everyone's "active lists."
These 1252 callsigns have not been deleted (unless they were also reclaimed), and can only be logged into by the original owner of the callsign via the correct password.

Everyone now only has their primary callsign on their "active list," and the next two callsigns they log-in with will be added to their "active list." You can only have 3 "active callsigns" at one time.

In addition, a callsign reclamation was also performed, freeing up 7263 callsigns for use by new players. These 7263 callsigns are effectively "deleted" allowing new players to re-use one of these old callsigns.

For those interested, only 28 of these 7263 callsigns were ever logged in. The rest have never logged in since being created.

Can someone explain to me how my @AFS nick and tag work? I don't have a password for it, and I've never been able to log into it.

I bet it is those who people tried to log into them when they already were at their max

What have the @AFS bigwigs said about it? Ask them and if there is some problem they will put in an Admin Requests for you I am sure

@AFS callsigns are given a unique password at the start of every class and the first person to log into that callsign with the correct password 'claims' that @AFS nick. Logging into an @AFS nick links it to your account.

TE - you are thinking of ACS nicks I believe.

AFS nicks are just squadded hiders. The only difference being that the squad is AFS. Moose I'll try and deal with this in the AFS Instructors forum, i was hoping someone with powah would have sorted this already......

I bet it's those people who downloaded allegiance but got errors and decided to just get rid of it.
