Peenix if you dont think that the first thanksgiving was GOD based you dummer than I thought. And the 1st offical thanksgiving was in 1863 during the American Civil war, to give thanks to God Almighty for all the blessings during a terrible time in American history.

The "pilgrims" was thanking GOD, not the indians.

And lastely peenix, who do you thank for all the blessings in your life? Yourself?

My step sons in the living room were like, "Oh, wandered what that smell was." Thankfully the turkey made it. My wife was in the shower and came out wandering why all the doors were open. :o
mmm... smoked turkey.

you were raised by a hippie yet you have guns?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

No, we don't have a "spanish thanksgiving", i think that's maybe because we have never been that "patriotic" to think about the thing you said, ryj. Here patriotism is not that well seen (sometimes a good thing, sometimes a bad thing). Thanks for the answer ;) .

Well, happy thanks giving to everyone that celebrates it. Enjoy your turkey (maybe we don't have thanksgiving because we don't like turkey so much too :P ).

We're having a traditional Thanksgiving this year. We're kinda broke with the economic downturn so the neighbors have invited us to their feast. When the food is all gone and the dishes are all washed, we're going to kill them and take their land.

They celebrate being crazy Americans.

Well no, they're not crazy Americans so why would they?
