Some time ago(old CC team), people said that IC sup had problems because of the scale of their figs. There were some discussions about lowering the IC fig scale in order to balance IC sup with other sups. The idea got a good amount of support in the community. However, for reasons I have yet to understand, the old dev team decided to reduce the scale of ALL figs beside bios ones, making the main reason of the change pointless(IC figs are still too big compared to other figs).

I'd like to see all figs but IC ones reverted to their original size(Keep in mind that bios weren't changed). I never liked to see a good idea(reducing IC fig scale) get messed up like that, but I decided to wait a little bit to see how it would go before making a post about it.


The scale of fighters was perfectly fine before(save maybe for IC, hence why people wanted to have it reduced). Imo the change didn't really do anything positive(beside maybe making IC sup a bit better against exp,tac and bios) but brought a few problems.

I think that fighter vs ints fights are somewhat balanced(if anything, fighters are now too strong vs ints considering sup end-game) right now, but the scale reduction had the sad side effect of allowing fighters to ignore ints even more than they could before. Int bombing used to be a huge problem for a sup team, it is not the case anymore. Fighters can now boost past a swarm of ints toward a bomber/Htt taking little damage and kill the bomber/htt. I realize that boosters perks nerfed int bombing much more than scale reductions, but save for IC, I don't think sup needed this. The scale reduction also made figs better at galving which is something else that clearly didn't need a perk.

Imo, the smaller scale perked figs in areas that were between fine and a little bit overpowered while having no positive impact on other stuff.

I could have suggested a reduction of the IC fig scale instead of reverting the change, but I've seen the impact of the scale reduction long enough to realize that it's not the best way to deal with fighters.

I'd just like to point something out:

Numerically, IC has the best sup. Hull perk, PW damage perk, energy perk (for dis runs or dissing capships), and missile damage perk. Add this to the way their econ gets a boost by having TPs all around the map (if your com is capable of handling IC miners) as well as the rip upgrade helping their econ a ton, and their immunity to galving (which lets their sup buy galvs with impunity), we may have to nerf IC sup some other way. Just something to keep in mind.

IC fighter is huge, and the bios one is tiny. I have pictures I've been meaning to post for weeks, but RL keeps getting in the way. Tomorrow is a nightmare, but in a few days I'll try to find the time to finish the comparison set and post them.

Phoenix, there are times that numbers mean almost nothing. The IC fig is one of those.

IIRC, this was one of Apoch's "wonderful" ideas, and I agree with rescaling all figs except IC back to original

Very true, and that makes them very frustrating. On paper they are great, but the huge hitbox makes them suck.

Lowering the size of IC figs to be more in line with the others is certainly not a bad idea. Will mark it down to take a look at

Im in favour of changing IC sup a little, but none of the other sups. I think they are balanced peachily :)

where in hell would bios figs be balanced sizewise, i wouldn't be able to understand... they're hellishly small compared to other fig sizes, the only thing balancing them a bit is the triangle shaped gumounts, and you just need to get used to that, while getting used to hit a mall speedy target may take a longer while ^^
