Comments (What you tried, description, etc):

Well, yesterday/very early this morning everything worked fine. This morning at around 7am the AutoUpdate error hit me. Since this was resolved sometime today, when I earlier (this evening) started Alleg, it did indeed AutoUpdate. The MOTD proceeded to come again and I was able to press the current game listings button.
BUT now it wont let me in the lobby: Failed to connect to the lobby.

Any hints?

This is a tricky one because unless it's someother coincedental thing that has hit you.

Try deleting fileslist.txt then it should try and update again (very quickly) and see if that works.

alright, I deleted the fileslist.txt and tried again. however, not only did it not try to update and the error persists, but it just made a new fileslist.txt

during the autoupdate error i tried the asgs option "update / auto repair critical files"
maybe this broke my allegiance although I suppose it should not have?!

well, i will try update/auto repair again. nope still doesnt work.

guess ill have to reinstall again?

If you have a custom chatpack you need to download it again. if you do that and install it, it will resolve your issue.

no the only "mod" i have is cort ui

ill just reinstall everything as soon as i can remember which file the keybindings was...
(got it, inputmap1.mdl)

oh bugger!

so i deinstalled allegiance, defragmented the harddrive, rebooted the computer and reinstalled allegiance. so far without cortui (or any other mods)
so it did the full autoupdate, but still i can not connect to lobby.

ok found the problem and got it working again.
it was the NAT server in my router, if it is enabled (did that during the auto update downtime to test if that would help and forgot to disable it again) strangely alleg doesnt connect to lobby anymore although as I understand it, the NAT server should rather help with connectivity issues instead of causing them.
