Ok, so I lied about the op, but I've had a good run at the garrison over the last few days and figured that the least I can do is show you what you'll be getting.
The final texture is 2048^2 and has a bit more work to do. But I think it's looking pretty good so far.
I'll then go back and redo the op. Hopefully that'll give me enough raw parts to speed through the techbases.
Here's the original for this tex. As you can see most of it has been redrawn from scratch.

Without looking too closley, the middle neon sign which the original (I think - perhaps there is a clearer version in the new artwork cds) says "24 bar" is a bit too blury. To be a bit more fussy, you've lost the yellow smiliey pirate face, and also some of the details around the round belters logo.
I'm searching for a replacement for the smiley - waiting on CD 20 to go up
The whole landing pad thing has been redrawn because it was hugely unclear what any of it was supposed to be.
The Neon sign I'll wait for the artwork CD to see if there's anything I can pilfer. It currently says 24 Hrs, but I'm not too happy about GIMPs neon effect either.

Well after a lot of scrapped efforts and restarts I've finally signed off on SS300 and SS301 - the Belters Garrison and Outpost respectively.
using the source files provided by Quia I've upscaled the 512^2 files and used them as a base. The pipes really don't scale well. Fortunately there's a source for them too. I've added a bit of detail to them and readded them to the main file in the same layers that MSR used. My pipes are slightly finer and have a bit of rust texture behind them but they look very good and sharp.
The plates are upscaled and sharpened a bit. All the other details have been redrawn or taken from higher res sources (the neon signs for example). The round pad thing still looks rubbish so I've stuck with my replacement.
SS302 is about half way done so that'll go up next.
300 and 301 are available for Mesial to do his thing with, expect them up once he's had time to look them over.

Rav, when you say "round pad" are you refering to the one with the Belt's logo on it? There's some really high res logo stuff in different themes in the art source if you want it and don't have it already.
