What are you getting at here?

I've stated on numerous occasions in the past that I've published every statistic available at this time. The Allegiance server maintains no record of nanning activities, and resultantly there is no such information in the ASGS database on which I base my work. Whilst this is very much the status quo, there are plans to enhance stats collection, and scouting activities are a priority. Two Weeks™

I am so glad to hear that. I am not one to complain much, but the scout whores are getting the short end of the stick. I am happy to know that you are looking in that direction.

I heard a person say the other day; "fly a scout better", which makes sense when you look at it from a win/lose perspective, but knowing that there is no way to measure things like nannage and probage makes that statement nul. Trust me, I have followed Defi's lead on several occasions of prox whoring entire games (funny to hear the int whores whine about that as they float home) and racked up very high numbers of kills, but for the most part I do the dirty jobs of nanning and probing, which I have labeled a thankless job.

This is not a complaint. I did that on our private boards. I don't need a number to tell me I'm a voob. It is me sharing my gratitude for you focusing some attention on this matter. Thanks for your effort (and anyone else involved) in this project.

Nanning and proving may be uesless to the 99% of people on your team but the 1% that matters (the commander) knows the power of it
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Bug report:
In the after game stats screen, the sort by rank is now broken.
It sorts by team instead (all blue on top, yellow bottom). The ranks are in no particular order AFAIK.

Why do I sort by rank ? To see how stacked the game was overall.

It was broken before AllegSkill release.

BTW, "after game stats" (also called ingame stats) have nothing to do with the rank system (expect the shown rank)... ;)

Never noticed a problem with it before. I thought this was a side effect of AS.
Mind you, this problem is intermittent. Worked fine just a moment ago.

As I see it, @#(!ty players (like myself) have a duty to have gain a green stack rank, because this is anti stacking. If players of say, rank 12 & below were to join the weaker team, we would be handicapping them further no? The good players, like say Weed, aarm, Miss_Piggy, Pun, Ophion & Tent have a duty to help us pathetic weaklings out.

So in summary, if you are crap, and have a green stack rating, you are doing the right thing, keep on fighting the fight baby. If you are hotsauce, and have the same, you are a bandit who needs a week in a gulag.

It always has sucked (and possibly always will) for the scout pilots. The statistics just don't exist in Allegiance. When you kill a ship, its reported all over the place. When you drop a probe, it isn't. Yes, it sucks. It isn't intentional though :)

 So, can I have a percentage of your rank? lol!

Yeah, I agree spidey, but the problem isn't is it beneficial to the team, it is that the ranking system is unable to reward it. I have absolutely no problem spending an entire game in a scout. It beats running around chasing scouts in an int (lol!). In a scout, I am most useful to my team. In an int...well.....it's too easy to get tunnel vision and worry more about kills than effectiveness.

I actually like the more precise numbers of AllegSkill, I just hate the fact that it kind of looks to support whoring more than some of the more tedious jobs.

Good work to Baker and his team.

I have a feeling that the new ranks are already helping us have more balanced games.

When we will eventually have the post-launch autobalance and visible commander ranks... wow :iluv:
