Frankly you don't even know enough to understand that you simply don't know.
QFT. I can guarantee you that you don't know EVERY techpath. I graduated ACS and I still don't know every techpath like the back of my hand (I'm sure it's pretty straightforward but I wouldn't be able to tell you how much it'd cost to get GT HoD's, or what you needed for them, etc.).

Cadet: even if you think you know everything, take it.

Meh, you guys are convincing me, im just not sure how people will react to an @cdt tag. I want to be able to play the game as I always have plus my new knowledge after and during @cdt, I don't want to be treated as though I had my (0) all over again.

I learned 1 thing from ACS, don't command.

Don't worry, you won't be. It'll be much worse treatment as you think you know it all :)

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.

I wouldn't worry mate - a CDT-A tag tends to get you more respect than no tag at all I found, as people realise you re intending to learn the game properly.

Plus - squads will take more interes in you if you want to be squadded.

Only thing is, I almost never see people with @CDT in game...why so, if it's so great? Acctually, this is mostly idle discussion, since I've already applied, but yeah.

Because you only play in games with less than 5 people?

CDT II was the best time I have ever had in Allegiance. (so far) First, you get to use what you are learning that week as an excuse to get bombers and other cool toys. Second, you get to ask all the other questions that would have made IB flame you had you posted him here. (like this one) Then, you get to learn with other people your level, and you make lots of friends.

CDT one is good for you.

CDT II is fun and even better for you.

Taking cadet is a good move even if you do know what you're doing. You've got 20+ experienced players answering every stupid question you can think of, without you getting flamed. Even if you already knew all of the "course material," you're still going to get a huge amount of knowledge out of it.

imo, one way to handle tf...

- spend six months nanning aarm's miners :)

-hit voicechats ~ck & ~nk.

- push 1st tele, use miner(s) for home rip.

- pray somebody finds lb1.

- invest a little at a time in bbrs 'til ur sure u don't need 'em and don't be afraid to not finish 'em... if u don't need 'em then it's wasted cash and distracting. this goes long way to making tf less weak at start.

- if finish bbrs and are able to offense, bomb thru opponent's mining first unless there's obvious better target. Know when to stop, keep in mind long bbr camps are good for tf. if boxed in before tech base up make bbr d con to rock then bomb close sector without docking if uncontested and uncamped.

- get tech up, play cautious while waiting for enh tech, if outteched at enh defend til adv (big jump from enh should give u edge)

...highly recommend practicing solo one-team dry run in separate server before trying off-peak hours, then try peak-hours.

...as far as knowing when team or com skill is reason, just work on it 'til none of the nay-sayers is sayin' it was ur fault 'cuz they'll stop saying "'nay"if you do it right enough times for them to notice (...though, that may take a while, in which case you can make a list of all the misplaced "'nay"-ers:)).

thread lock, engage!

1st you dont know the basics of the game or how to expand/buy tech
2nd your too slow to expand and mine
3rd the other coms are smarter than you are (at this time)
4th their players are for the most part better than yours
5th youll get better
6th just read the PUBLIC ACS material on this site and you will improve
7th relax no one takes anything less than a 5on5 seriuos anyway.
8th stop rushing SY
