Was that the game wehre you placed all of tech bases under 1.5k from enemy held sectors? If so, my advice would be: pick a rock that is further away, even if it's not your prefered techpath. Especially vs. BIOS

About drunkenness, I am inclined to agree. I am a teetotaler, an also one of the worst commanders ever.
