Look, if any of these bad guys failed to absolutely destroy the good guys and were beaten back in some way or another (Star Trek, Stargate, BSG, whatever) then they will not hold a candle to Star Wars, and that is a fact. Technology levels people...if a bunch of rag-tag United States Air Force guys with P90s can beat them, then they are a joke compared to a galaxy spanning Empire/Republic/Whatever.

I could probably shift the subject of this thread by descending out of my bananamobile, showing a few pictures of arnold, captain kirkhoff, arnold again, then captain kirkhoff exploding with a arnold one liner such as "I'll be right BACK for you Skywalker!"

I could, but I won't. The addition information that I am adding to my yet to be created nerd list is too valuable at this point.

Besides, It's obvious chuck norris is going to win this somehow anyways.

Ah Seymor, every day my impression of you grows more and more disturbed. You went past "Stalker/Predator" about a year ago and are now down to "Anti-Christ Head Cronie".

...I'm starting to hate edited posts with full stops in them. MW didn't just give us genius, he gave us that too! Man up and leave your posts as is and deal with the consequences of your thoughts! Just because you erase it doesn't mean it is gone from your mind. Might as well let the rest of the world know how you feel, even if it's hateful, inflammatory and otherwise rude to do so.

Letting things bottle up inside is unhealthy...besides, this is an internet forum, you're never going to get more anonymous than this (which is laughable really).

Lessee, they do it in Enterprise all the time (but they can only fire torpedoes, iirc), the Enterprise D did it multiple times when fleeing from the borg, probably against the crystalline entity and a few others. I kind of pretended Voyager didn't exist, DS9 was on an immobile space station, and the original series I was way too young for.

And I ain't even a trekkie.

Star by Star Shocker squadron's fav tactic is to fly through an enemy formation at c (or higher) speeds while engaging them.

Interesting on the battling at warp. IF they can engage at such speed why didnt the dominion just fly right by DS9 at warp 9 while bombarding it with torps and taking like no damage?
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

Actually, if you watched Stargate, you'd know that SW and ST would both have incredible problems with Replicators. Replicators basically ignore energy weapons - That's why the P90s worked. SW and ST weapons are almost all energy-based.

Now, if you put replicators into the (new) BSG universe, then the replicators would probably be slaughtered horribly, becuase ALL of BSG's weapons are either projectile or explosive.

About half or so of SW weapons are not energy based. Even turbolasers have a distinct physical component.

They are still mostly energy, though. The Asgard weapons in the Stargate universe also had some physical stuff, IIRC, but they were sitll ineffective on the replicators

How do they protect themselves from energy out of curiosity? I never watched SG 1 much
