it's meant to be used on ops and teles - it completely covers those = invulnerability until it's lifespan is over.CronoDroid wrote:QUOTE (CronoDroid @ Oct 9 2008, 10:00 AM) Wow! It looks kinda useless.
DEB shields
Extremely high mass can be abusable. When you pick an item up, it transfers to you at whatever speed you're traveling at, so if you eject a DEB, you can line it up between you and an aleph, fly at it and pick it up while going at speed, and then deploy on the aleph.
We've upped our standards. Up yours.
One issue I do have is it being deployed on alephs to block bomb runs getting in, effectivly you could stop a bomb run getting in with one person as they would just bounce back through the aleph again. But meh, I will toy with some numbers later today and see what i come up with, and I will post them in this thread.

Does this actually happen? I put a deb shield over a red door at one point and the ships launching from the base just spawned outside the sphere. My assumption was that alephs would work this way too.apochboi wrote:QUOTE (apochboi @ Nov 3 2008, 10:13 PM) One issue I do have is it being deployed on alephs to block bomb runs getting in, effectivly you could stop a bomb run getting in with one person as they would just bounce back through the aleph again.

AOE does effect things through it, so it won't protect you from res or anything with big AOE
and i know this how? i thought it was like what arson said, so i was gonna bring up the fact that tf and rix bombers arent gonna be affected by them
