So you have to give the drone an attack order for it to shoot nans at its target?

How does the AI targetting work anyway, can you get drones to always target the nearest friendly?

you don't give it the attack order - you give it the repair order.

Don't know how the targeting works though.

No, you must order it to nan a specific target. It will follow the target around like a little puppy the rest of the game, even waiting outside bases for the miner to relaunch. If it becomes idle (say the miner dies) it will attempt to attack enemy targets with its nan.......thus healing them.
