I'd like a copy.

Can you make a version like that for the TE or Valor packs?

Adding them is easy.

The tough part is getting a good .wav file.

Anyone know the original voice actors?

Well, my normal host is throwing a hissy fit at the .mdl but google found me another host, so yeah, guess I better say "use at own risk". Alternatively you can give me your email and I send it as an attachment.

Strictly speaking I can, but I have no reason to want to.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Yeah it's stupid. You could try zipping it before putting it up or if that doesn't work I often have to rename them to .txt or something just to get it hosted.

It seems to me that TE's chat pack is among the most well-designed and logical. Perhaps the very useful chats that you suggest (which have been needed for a long time) could be added into the TE format and made into the new default (or at least a very good optional download).

I've done some voice work for the tech support call center @ my company, plus I'm an amateur voice impressionist to boot. I would love to rustle up some new voices for the QC's, even make them sound differently and add some effects to them.

In other words, put me in coach!

I believe Sgt Baker was working on some new VCs as he has access to a proper recording studio. Quite what happened to that project I don't know though.

Well anyone can make whatever they want, but I caution against making 50 more taunts. We have way too many already.

The ones we need are ingame ones like:

Need Nanites!
Is it camped?
It's camped!

and the other ones that were mentioned previously.

Go ahead and record these and try to make them "fit" in with the rest of the allegiance VCs. I don't know if that means doing an impression, or otherwise sanitizing the .wav after you've recorded it.

Once you have a good set of the needed VCs, I'll gladly add them into my own chatpack.

Of course, everyone else is welcome to create their own chatpacks with their own keybindings too. If you don't like mine, don't use it /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
