The repeated Check-ins appear to be me repeatedly trying to connect.
When it was working (before my hiatus), it wouldn't ever take more than 5 seconds (literally) on a worse connection. I tried to connect on 5.5 MBPS on 3 bars, whereas I connected on 2.0MBPS with 2 bars before my hiatus, so it is not connectivity.

The only difference between a cadet and a newbie is that cadets know not to fly into a rock the size of the New
Orleans Superdome!
2.7^(3.14*sqrt(-1))≈-1 (of course, since 2.7 is an approximation of e and 3.14 is an approximation of pi)

Check ins don't have anything to do with your connecting to the lobby with regards to time.

You are saying you don't see the MOTD?

This means Alleg is entirely blocked from the Internet. The MOTD is a simple HTTP request and if that doesn't show up, something is blocking Alleg as an app.

Post your Antivirus/Firewall here.

Check if IE is in offline mode...

I use windows firewall, and it is not locked. Also, oddly enough, IE is not even on this machine, and I never even deleted it, I guess I will have to redownload it.

I just go the r4 update and now I can't login. It says something about dl not being completed, which I know it stopped on its own. When it tries to continue the update all the sudden allegiance stops responding. I've tried dling allegiance and reloading it...the same this happens everytime.

Woohoo! Didn't need to download IE, the shortcut just got corrupted somehow, and as it turns out, IE was on work offline. You guys may now close and lock this topic. Thanks guys.
