i didnt really know where to put this,
I have been banned for 3/4 of an hour (which is nothing, so it doesnt really matter)
for going on the newbie server, even though i havent, unless it was a very long time ago.
please explain this to me
why was i banned
you get banned for being playing in any game that has 'newbie' in it
if ur in the lobby u wont get banned but an @alleg will ban u if ur being malicious to newbies
if u play it autobans u after game ends
its funny most of the bans are VetOnNewbServer bans nowadays
plz ccorrecct me if im wrong =P and no insults were intended to anyone....
edit: in the name of the game....
haha i edit like evry post i post

IIRC Your ban time does not start till the next time you try and log onto ASGS.
So you may have played on the newbie server a while ago, and havent played since.

If you see that you've been auto banned by ASGS for "Veteran on a Newbie Server" then one or more of three things happened:
- You logged in to the dedicated Newbie server and joined a team.
- You logged in to a game with "newbie" anywhere in the title and joined a team.
- You were already in a game on a team waiting for the game to start, someone quickly changed the name to have "newbie" anywhere in it and pressed the Go button.
The first, which used to be the only way to get banned before R4, is usually your own fault. No one holds a gun to your head and makes you join the newb server if your rank clearly isn't that of a newb to the game. You may be a noob, so go start a noob server, but stay away from the newbs. Yes, there's a difference.
The second is also your own fault for not paying attention. Make sure to read game titles before you join, as well as all the other information. I'm not about to join a DM on the DN core that has the title "omg i r noo" because I know I won't enjoy that game.
The third, that's what a person could do to get themselves banned for weeks. You are not at fault, because you don't have control over the game title, but what I do suggest is that you look very closely at the game name before it starts (as well as during the countdown) because if you're locked in to the game and there's no way for you to get out (such as during countdown) your only salvation is to unplug your computer post-haste, relog, and report (the three R's for short: remove (the plug), reboot (your computer), report (the user)).
ASGS ban times don't start until you try to log in to the game again, so if you got an hour ban last year but never tried to log back on, you still have that hour ban.
Hope that clears up stuff for you (and the rest of people who have such questions).

ah... that third choice kinda explains it. i thought only the newbie servers (as in the ones with the zg blue highlight by there name) were the places you can get banned for goin into. yesterday there was a game goin called newbie server and i went on to see if it actually was a newbie server where the people on it refused to go on the proper server.
anyway, i didnt actually join a team, would goin into the game and askin why they didnt go to the proper server result in a ban???
