It is getting way out of hand. Players who are "friends" with the comm tell their "buddy" to boot players because they don't like what someone may have said. It doesn't matter that they themselves have started the issue. What is even more agrivating is that the comms violate the rules by not even "warning" the player they are booting (this is my biggest beef). There should be a way to contact admin when this happens and get these overbearing comms banned for a time. Otherwise, this game is no longer for everyone, just a few "buddies".

First, please read the rules. The only warning a commander has to give is to players rank 4 or below. AND if they are threating gameplay/tactics (Please do read the wiki for a definition) they may be booted without warning.

My PM box does really work. I do read them. Ranting here usually gets you ignored.

STFU in game and you might end all issues?

You don't need a reason to boot someone if they have lost their newbie status. I have on many occasions booted someone by request, and have made boot requests myself. Having said that, you won't get booted for no reason. You must of been doing something stupid or just annoying people.

Ranting on the forum about it isn't gonna help, you will just get flamed. Anyway, getting booted is no big deal, just log in with a different account and join the other team.

The whole point was to make sure admin got wind of this "abuse". And it is abuse.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Don't fly for those commanders.

EDIT:

And, if you say stuff people don't like, which gets you booted, don't say that stuff.

Maybe don't say anything at all?

The former is preferred, in my opinion.

You obviously get fun out of the wrong things. If you don't get some enjoyment out of a perfectly executed HTT run/Bomber run, or killing a miner after podded its defense, or defending a miner from 2 figs then you may be playing the wrong game.

If you can do stuff like this then you can get away with acting like an idiot also. But if you tend to spam the chat, not respond to com orders and fly around usually in empty sectors while chatting then prepare for a boot.

Oh, so THAT'S why spidey keeps booting me...

BTW, flying around in empty sectors can be extremely valuable so long as you are flying a scout.

Plexis, I understand where you're comming from. I know it is extremely frustrating. Read that wiki link, and understand it. Then know that there are, in fact, really rude people who 'abuse' the system. Unfortunately the rules don't have anything against just being an ass. Just know who the good ones are, and don't take it too personally, because to do so will just ruin the game experience for you.

You were booted for flying around an empty sector with no probes in it with a DREG LT INT. Someone said to boot you about 10 minutes earlier for something (no idea what) and I did not. Do not assume I booted you because someone "told me to"

note: sector had already been mined about 10 minutes before

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
