Sounds fair to meSolaria wrote:QUOTE (Solaria @ Mar 23 2008, 11:14 AM) This is not going to be 'Oh, you're on a team that has higher helo! *Ban*' - It's going to be 'Oh, you waited for that (3) to join the team with lower Helo so that you could join the team that's already up by 30? *Ban*'
So admins ban stackers now?

If it's not on the RoC, it should not be a ban-worthy offense. If Tigereye and BlackViper have taken up arms against stackers to the degree that bans are being issued, surely adding it into the RoC - using clear language that precisely defines the offense - is a legitimate request. And if you (that is to say, Tigereye, BlackViper) are not willing to put a definition of stacking and the consequences thereof into the RoC, perhaps it ought not be a ban-worthy offense.
next on the list of bannable offenses will be "flew within 1k of friendly pod without picking it up".
or maybe "did not try answer newb's stupid ass question".
how about "did not mutiny after stupid ass com made poor decisions".
and my favorite "did not bend over and take it up the ass from TE or BV"
I don't play the game anymore due to health reasons so I don't really give a @#(!, but if most of this community is willing to take it up the ass like it sounds like it is then I'll be more than happy to not return when I recover.
For all supporters of the recent stacking bans...
...after you've taken it up the ass enough times from the admins you should be able to fit both your heads and theirs in there like you always wanted.
I have a very hard time believing that TE and BV have what is best for the community in mind when they completely circumvent any kind of democratic process in their decision making that affects the community as a whole. They are completely out of line. It is not a question of fairness. It is a question of responsible use of power.
I feel like a complete moron for ever supporting TE and BV in the past.
and I can hear all the non-supporters from months and years past saying... "I told you so." ( I was wrong Kummy, you were right -- you know what I'm talking about )
$#@!ing ridiculous.

As a staunch though mostly unwilling supporter of the current regime, I find this to be the first sign of "pookiosis" a condition caused by overwhelming complaints and no limit to authority.
this is without reason, the most STUPID thing that I have EVER seen done, since october the 13th, and if not curbed quickly, will result in more disastrous results then ever before.
This is the final battle between the carebears and everyone else. Those of you who side with the current powers that be, be careful that you dont "stack" or maybe just piss off the wrong person. There is no 0 limits to the @allegs, and I can only foresee bad things.
With great respect to BV, and TE, that is a very dumb move, and I hope that you reconsider your actions before the ramifications threaten to tear this community apart.

AI AI AI!!! The sky is falling!!!!
We won't be able to stack anymore. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
I would consider jumping on the stacker team after a silly newbie joins the weaker team part of the RoC under the "taking advantage of a newbie" clause.
It's about time something really happened with this. The circumstances for such bans are pretty clear. It's not about banning folks who are already on the stacked team before the stacking occured. It's about the folks to take advantage of the situation. It's up to the experienced player to look at the teams and see whats going on before jumping in.
It's about time someone instilled some fear into the stackers. I say now do it for real and get Allegskill integrated into the game. Full speed ahead!!!

Pook's Rules of Conduct for Dummies
QUOTE Act like an adult.
Even if you aren't one. This is a mature community based around a game. G-A-M-E - it's not a lifestyle, it's not your fan club, it's not your escape from reality where you're the playground bully. Being good at a video game doesn't mean anything except that you have too much time on your hands and can't find a productive way to spend it.
Be Civil.
Everyone wants to play, nobody wants to be hassled. When in doubt, see the rule above.
Everyone gets to play.
You don't get to decide who gets to play and who doesn't. I don't care if they have a !@#$&% (-3) tag, let them play... so long as they follow the rules.
Don't be stupid.
When you're doing something you know you shouldn't do, you're being stupid. I don't care if you're trying to make a point, push a political agenda, or just like annoying other people. Don't do that. When in doubt, see the above rules.
There you have it. If you follow these four simple rules you won't violate the official RoC and everyone will be happy. If you don't follow these simple rules, then you don't get to play.[/quote]
i think the underlined applies to the situation don't you? Especially when someone stacks and initiates the problem of forcing retaliation like this
