I was think that each core should be a different time in quantus!! so we get new weapons ect. for each one. the factions strengths slightly change meaning that no games will be the same if you play on different cores!

Different cores will be up to the core devs. And 'Cores' as we know of will be a lot different to implement in torque, as it uses different files for a lot of stuff. I'm also not sure on how the files are called, but they can be called in-game.

it may be better to concentrate on "standard" core for now - not to dilute our efforts too much.

Um...let's get the basics down before we start worrying about making spinoffs of our spinoff.
I can try to make stuff that Allegiance uses for different cores, in data files rather than hard-coded. That will make it easier for anybody trying to make alternate cores.

I know in Starsiege and other torque engines, the different stuff is in different files.

In Starsiege, there were general internal components, there were the weapons, shields, armor, reactors, engines, each vehicle had a different file, etc.

Anyway yes, let's get one thing finished and up and running smoothly, then you can have yer cores and more factions and all that jazz.
