Topic says it all. What do you think and why? I think this is an interesting question - all the heavy scouts (except maybe IC and GT) have their own distinctive flavour as to what makes them great.

For me, I would say TF. Bios comes a close second, but the combination sheer accurate firepower (3xPE gat guns - as much as a enh fig), immense speed (light booster 1 or 2) and the good old turret gunner too of course (again, uber accurate because it's TF). OK, so you can't drop prox, but when your ship dishes out so much damage, it's great to fly in close and drop your plasgens on them, rather than the running-away style of prox dropping.

This ship is so powerful, I've managed to eye and kill a htt, 2 or 3 nans and an int without a gunner, and still escape alive. Given the choice of the TF heavy scout or adv fighter, I would take the heavy scout every time.

Bios is second - I don't think I need to explain why it is thought of so highly, and also it gets bought an awful lot too. Every bios commander should buy at least adv scouts, it's a great investment.

Opinions??

I do quite like the Rix Heavy Scout, with it's Mini-AC1/2 (add an additonal one for your turret) it can really pump out some damage.

Belters is easily the most versatile of all heavy scouts, it is already very armoured compared to most which makes it extremly suitable for stealthy actions like tp dropping, however with belters ability to also use tech without having the techbase and mounting it on most ships also helps the scout as it can equip not just the standard gat but can be extremly useful defensivly with a mini2/3 or damned annoying with a utl cannon which means Belter Heavy Scouts do not have to go supremacy to make thier scouts more powerful.

GT Heavy Scouts are also good because the extra slot specially for nan really does help and means that a turreted heavy scout can last a lot longer ammo wise and still easily nan (two heavy scouts with gunners with the scouts nanning each other, devestating....)

Edit:
And Rix comes 3rd like BT said ^

Giga Luxy I love. Full AC turret? Pwnage. 4 dfs, gat, ac turret, 2 proxs. I like DFs better than miniac.

Don't overlook the IC Hvy scout, the perks that come with IC are quite nice, it's hard to run out of ammo on an IC heavy scout.

All Hvy scouts are cheeeeeese!!

Bios... heavy cloak makes all the difference.

You can have a miner to half hull before you are seen. You can lob 4 QL Dumbfires into a bomber AND drop mines/minepack in its path and it will not have time to react. It is simply the best heavy scout in the game!

Lxy Giga Scout. Full sized AC 3 gunner
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

While mentioning TF adv/hvy scouts, never forget the dual nans they can mount. Admittedly you can only use it for a short time to to energy restrictions, but often those extra few seconds is what will save your target.

gotta go with the "Hah, mines in your face" Bios Scout. With expansion sig GA's you can actually be well behind the enemy run before they even see you /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
