OK It's time for me to say STFU. I have personally spent a whole $#@!ing year in testing, thank you very much. You've descended to the level of a forum troll. Not only are you ignoring the vast amount of testing our group has performed on the allegiance data, but I've also got in touch with Microsoft research about this. Ralf Herbrich has probably got better things to do than answer your troll posts, and it's barely been 24 hours.

I suggest you find a different subject matter for your wiki-genius supposition and bluster.

I think its good work Baker.

Been there, done that.... don't think that squad can be recreated. Though let me see if i can find GeM somewhere... (PS: already joined a squad!)

Actually my intentions where different...

A Squad game is the true crop of allegiance games when it concerns tactics and teamwork, while a pickup game is not very serious. I myself play quite differently in squad games than pickups... hell i've even been caught with my pants down flying a nanite scout once, or twice.

Also, there's external influences to alleg games... IMHO a team connected through teamspeak simply has a better chance of winning an alleg game, no mather the teams.

Separate ranking for squads and SG play is something that's already on the TODO list. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

It'd be interesting to separate out a play's rank based on SGs, and their rank based on PUGs. I know I tend to perform better with RT simply because we all fit together now as a unit and I guess all the other squads would say the same. Maybe the universal raising of game quality would negate the boost in 'skill' due to playing as a regular team?

Raveen, I think that would pretty much just end up ranking everyone in the squad the same since you would always be playing with the same players for the most part. I guess there might be some variation where when different people show up to squad games the squad tends to win more often than when they don't.

True, lack of data's going to be the thing.

Ranking a squad, despite the difficulty with discriminating between the majority of it's members, is still worth the effort /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Ranking a squad is totally worth it (and something I want doing just to remind you there Bakes /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ). Ranking a player within a squad based only on their SG performances would be a lot harder.

I just realised something.

Is it possible to flag squad practices somehow so they do not count in the statistics?
