I know this topic is so over discussed, but I just want to know.

When players "stack" are they basing it on HELO? Or are the basing it on player's name/skill/reputation? I know that some players with high HELO "insta-stack" when they join. But can one player make that much of a difference. For example (hypothetical):

Player Awesome(30) joins a team, inflating the HELO by 30 does he make that much of an impact vs 2 players of the caliber as AngryO or Nooblet who's combined helo doesn't even equal (30)? Would HELO be a legitimate qualifier for "A Stack"

You just have to ask yourself? What is the definition of stacking? Do we go by HELO or by Players. A

Now, I know you will say that comes high HELO, you have good players thus increasing the chance of winning. That is true, but what I am trying to say is stacking is subjective and very emotionally charged so can we just not complain so much about players HELO and look more at the caliber. There are so many good Intermediate pilots that I would rather have on a team than the neo-Vets (those who's goal is to have Vet after their name) out there!

People point out people who stack as a pyriah. I challenge anyone to Put their name on this list that HAS NOT EVER STACKED. Not, "I anti-stack more than I stack, " but has NEVER STACKED. So hence the old adage "Don't throw stones when you are in a glass house."

So I just want to say. Who cares about the stack. Just play and have fun and stop being childish about it because when you beat the stack, you are all celebratory, but when you lose to the stack, you bitch and whine!

If this is your therapy for RL, I do appologize, continue to bitch and whine.

Have fun and lets play the game. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Today, a team led by AngryAngel and his band of merry newbs, voobs, and underrated players beat The Stack™ We celebrated, we laughed, we cried, and then we raped them with IC Hvy Ints with Sup ups. It was better than sex*

So what you're saying is (my replies start with •):

* HELO ranks are inaccurate because some players have inflated their ranks by stacking. This means that judging stacks by team helo is inappropriateJudging stack by "players" is hard, weighing twenty pilots on one team vs. twenty pilots on the other. Especially if you don't play much.Yes. If we start forcing helo to be even, players who have inflated their ranks by stacking will lose more initially (since Awesome(30) isn't equal to AngryO + Nooblet), until their ranks are deflated. After some time of auto-balancing, the ranks will settle down and become more accurate, and Awesome(22) might be equal to AngryO + Newbie(7).* Everyone has stacked. Therefore, we can't blame specific players. Some players do it more often than others. See also my posts in this old thread. There you'll see how easy it is to find players who stack consistently, since they win games more often than they lose (ie. they win more than 50 % of their games).* Play the game and have fun instead of bitchingSure... but I don't mind discussing how we can have more even games and more fun

It wasn't so much the heavy ints as it was the standard stealth fighters. We could push cons everywhere because the rix team needed to keep their money for their own tech.

The credit belongs to the players. They were brilliant. Special mentions to Kofi for outstanding valor in the face of The Stack™, Immz for blatantly anti-stacking, and OneManBucket for balatantly whoring in the face of the stack.

A funny yet dissasterous game for those of us who lost.
I can honestly say I hate Rixian and would be happy to never fly them again.

Voobs rate stack by HELO.

Vets rate stack by good players per team.

Thats why when I say the game was stacked and a random voob@sf says the game wasn't stacked HELO was even, I laugh.

Thanks, IB, I was beginning to think I might be halfway decent. Please list where in my post I mentioned anything about the word "stack".
