QUOTE Those that don't use F3 before launching probably close their eyes when they cross the street.[/quote]
I swear 95% of "vets" don't press F3 before launching.
eg, bombed a sup with 2 nans and no gunners once, 5 people launched to defend, but they all launched from their outpost, 6k away. Dead base.
People panic and think they must react asap when they hear a bomber warning. Sometimes you really need to think before acting.

I love sitting in my scout outside the red door proxing with a few friendly ints covering my ass. It works very well, and usually the ints who make it through the prox get pummeled by my int friends, esp when the enemy ints are trying to get me.
Id say it has nothing to do with sportsmanship and is purely a tactic, that should be used when needed.

I forgot who it was.... they introduced me to the pleasure of Plas Gen 3 for red door camping. Total terror. 2 Gen shots to kill a Bios fig, 3 shots to kill a GS. /ninja.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja:" border="0" alt="ninja.gif" /> /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
The whole team couldn't decamp 3 TF scouts. It's just way too evil!

In the last zone game I did this and got some kills, I had 800 ping and carrying a CDT tag. So I was happy to get some kills /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Its legit i'd say, simple common sense to avoid it and if you have no other options left to fly out, you're dead anyway.

mining red doors is fine, since any semi-intelligent player would not launch into the camp, and go the long way and break up the camp from an adjacent sector (if theres another base next sector, go from there and hit em in the ass while they stare at the red door looking for victims).
The only "cheap" tactics i personally consider as such, is small game anything. It's simply too hard to do anything small game unless your Exp, since solo sbs can barely be defended against (pp's) and regular bomb runs tie up more resources for the enemy then it does for your own team. In a small game thats 7v7, chances are you aint gonna win unless you bomb better/faster, or go Exp so you can defend against it without needing more people then they use for their run.
