I feel it is not fairplay and it is against sportsmanship. A hvy scout w/prox3 parking the red door is a death sentence for that base, and defenders do not have many chances to clear it.
What do you guys think?

Prox spam enemy red door
No different than having 4 of XT's int whores camping the red door of every base you have with hvy ints.
Having been on the recieving end of an int base camp, as well as a prox 3 base camp, Take it from me, it sucks. However, I find that either one is acceptable, scout whores prox, and int whores camp. These are both late game techs, and require skill to effectively impliment. They are valid tactics, since the whole idea is to win. however It is possible to caltrop a red door, albeit not easily.
Additionally, Prox are regularly carried by a scout, the weakest ship in the game. Exceptions are rix adv. stealth fighters, and Giga Patrollers. Other than that, you are stuck using a scout. unless you want to play with the limited lifespan of the minepack.
In war, ethics are limited to simply respect your enemy. This does not however, include fair play in a fight. In war there is not such a thing as fair. You are either gonna die, or you are gonna kill the guy trying to kill you. This is a war simulation, plain and simple. If you have the power, and the skill to use the technique, then by all means use it. At the end of the game, is when you turn your sense of ethics back on. Treat your opponent fairly, and with respect. But when the launch button is hit, then no holds barred.

The Master Pod Pilot!
Thier own fault if they let the enemy team get heavy scouts and adv exp (or letting Belts steal it) and being retarded to fly out into camp. If your at the point where you only have one base and that is camped by prox3 heavy scouts (or Rix adv sfs!!!) then your going to lose anyway and might as well wait for that bomber or resign it.
QUOTE 20 kills/min? Hell yeah![/quote]
Unless it was your only base, shame on you for feeding their prox scouts one ship at a time to a tune of 20 ships/min. Either launch en mass or from another base. Base camping is no fun when on the receiving end but it is a valid tactic.
