I was contemplating this earlier, and wondering if something less.... well, if another image could be used as a substitute...I was thinking along the lines of using this: (rough concept image)
as apposed to the original

So, basically, i want to know if i can mod the image for mines, or at the least, create a "new" type of mines without using the default.

Yes or No please, no need to go out of your way to go into depth with it, since this is merely brainstorming stage /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

You can edit the image file certainly, I'm not sure if you can have the game use separate images for prox and minepack, for example, if that is what you mean. it is certainly worth a shot though.

theoretically you could make emp mines look like an emp bomb does in the movies /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

You can modify the file (fxminebmp.mdl) to change all prox fields.

OR

You can change it in the core file (Under 'View') so it only changes certain ones.

However, the second option requires a new core.
