the texture on the tail bluebit looks a little stretched, anyone else got any comments on it?

Rama sent me the original files to preview, but I've been to busy to actually look at them. I'd say yes, it is stretched.

The original is funky too (but in a different way), because the orignal texture mapping wasn't exactly symmetric and I followed it.

The mapping IS funky over the blue section, it has ended up a little warped. I will fix it when I feel like it.

Can anyone tell me about testing it, since apparently I can't test it offline?

check the faz forum, I think there is an R4 server floating around that you can use to do lan games.
