SaiSoma wrote:QUOTE (SaiSoma @ Aug 29 2007, 04:58 PM) well, i'm stuck. launch asgs, check beta, and get invalid sig.
client i have is from aug 5.
someone mentioned a client from aug 13, but it's apparently not in the beta installer or you need to uninstall and reinstal. i'm going to try that, will report back here if it makes any difference.
I have the same errormessage, including the question, if i want to fix my allegiance.exe. If I click "yes" it downloads some files and tells me "updating...". But still have the same problem after the update.
Last wednesday my version of r4 worked fine. My allegiance should be up to date, last time I played was yesterday.

Download the new installer and run it. There is an August 13 build in it. The "Fix" option probably does not work correctly.
ok . i found the other thread with the exe from the 13th. still no go. i put the R4 exe in the alleg folder, didn't work. i removed AEMs allegiancetest.exe and tried, no go. about to rename R4 exe to allegiancetest.exe and see.
also, the beta lobby says current exe is from 5th, which is why i thought i had the latest until a few minutes ago.

You should end up with a Beta folder within your main Allegiance folder. The beta client and all required DLLs will be located there. ASGS will look for Allegiance.exe in there.
If you do not have a Beta folder after reinstalling with what you think is the latest build, your browser is probably actually not redownloading the file. Instead it is thinking, hey we already downloaded this, no need to get it again when in fact the zip has changed. You'd notice the download finishing pretty much instantly if this is the case. Delete the previous R4Setup.exe you have and/or clear your browser's cache.
ok . .i'm IN the computer field . ..and i always chastise users for not READING . . .and here i am, doing just that.
I downloaded the normal installer . .hahaha . .and reinstalled alleg. ok . officially (not that I ever had any doubt), i'm stupid (at least some times).
Sorry for any confusion, up until recently you did not need ASGS, as we get closer to release we are starting to require ASGS in prep for larger test games.
Sorry again about the outdated Message of the Day, I just updated it.
