I was playing last night and totally forgot it was Wednesday. I feel so ashamed... :(

Maybe setup a big event on a Saturday afternoon or something? Like what was mentioned in the above post, a community event.

It would be nice to get some more testing in, if possible. Otherwise, throw us to the wolves and see if we survive! /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Dogbones your poll is missing a voting option. I was finally able to get it installed and working although I've only played solo games. Someone pointed me to AEM's installer... which was the only way I could get it to work. The installation process was very difficult for me and when I was able to get it working the servers weren't up (this was last Friday I think). I've mentioned this before, but other versions seemed to be just a simple download and play. This one had too many steps. Its a fact that if any process has more than three steps it significantly reduces the number of people willing to engage in the process. I would recommend consolidating the threads (your installation thread and AEM's) so that it is a more simple process to install for anyone else who would like to try out the beta.

It also took me awhile to figure out how to do the solo play option. It might be a good thing to explain how to do it since many people seem to be logging in only to find the beta server empty. With reveal map turned on the solo play option is nice for practicing with command.

No problems with the install! Training missions worked fine. Didn't see anyone on the the servers.
Keep up the good work! /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

Cheers!

Lets put it live and start development on R5.
Seems like the beta testing is rather delaying things then speeding them up..

Like many others I have logged onto the beta server only to find nobody there, I did try out the solo option but got bored and quit back to asgs, it seemed to work fine.

I find this poll a little vague.

Following Dogbones instructions vs knowing about and using my installer are different stories. As far as I'm aware no one has had any installation issues using my installer. A couple have had issues that were confirmed to be unrelated to the install process or very unlikely related to the install process. Seem to be incompatibility issues with current mods.

If you've said you've had trouble or find things too complex, specify with the manual instructions, my installer, or both.

But yeah we really need to have a couple big test days. The best way to do this, as shown a week or two back, is bring ASGS down. I doubt that will happen. So other than that there needs to be a big push on test days to get games going. Unfortunately with this beta it doesn't look like a big game will get started that way but if a few people get on and start a small game it will get bigger in not much time. ZL's can make an announcement on the regular servers that beta testing is starting up and people can move over. I fully expect we can get at 15-20 player games started if people stick around on the servers a bit and make the effort to log into the beta. The first person to get this started will always be the first person to log on so if you don't see anyone try and get even a couple people to come over from the regular servers to get a game moving.

Same here, went on Weds and nobody was on >,<

Although I voted "yes" for installation, the very first time I installed R4 it worked with ASGS beta mode, now it doesn't and I just manually double-click the R4 Allegiance.exe...

I have tried it quite at bit over the last week and I am happy to report no problems whatsoever. Although I might add that I am not the best person to ask.

I tested the miners AI by blocking my miner from entering a base. It just looked like it was having a lag heart attack moving forward and backwards real quick as if it had bad lag. I read that the code was rejigged to make it not realign itself so I put it down to that.

But as far as installing and running FAZ, plus all the upgrades could not be sweeter, now. :-)

One question. Which is the de facto core? /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
