When I joined (6-7 month ago?), newbie server only have games of 3 vs. 3 going if it's good time. I went to read the whole academy before even creat my callsign, and went to trainning misson. I was afraid of main server or server with more than 10 people back then. So newbie server first. Some guy managed to give me command the first game i joined and I was like "whoa, what does this do? what's that?...". Eventually I got it figured out and actually won that game (given the opposite command was a (4) but have absolutly no idea what to do. I remember going myself in a bomber to his home only to find 5 tech con and 2 op con just waiting there /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
Needless to say, I played a lot in the first few days, just to get a hang of things. Because of lack of big games, I never really moved up in rank. After 1 to 2 month Newbie server was really populated like nowdays and I began to get a feeling of owning everyone on there. Most of the time I command, or fly the @cadet ship. Sometimes I goto a second server that have some vets on and play there, back when it only have about 15 people. During that time, I managed to get back to (0) 4 times and never made it up to inter after 3 month of gameplay. Some of you might remember that. I try to play on big servers but i can never get accepted as a (0). Nobody trust me to do anything.
My life was changed totally after I graduate from Cadet and got top mark. People began to accept me into servers, but I still generally avoid main server. At one time, I was flying in the 2nd server with 20 people or so, it was right before the Sunday SG time. BV asked me to observer the ACE vs. GB game. ACE had too many players and already a observer (Mikhail before he joined). I was unable to watch that one. But anyway I got invitation 2 days after that ( I never thought i would, from the beginning of visit to this community I dreamed of being a member of squads, and look into the squad roster. At that time I wanted to be in Wildcard for some reason, especially after hearing their reputation.) So I joined and SG against BS was the week after.
There I flow my third large scale game, and honestly I was really confused by all the teamwork that's showing, and the high skill level of play. I just did Con/Miner D that game, the eaisest job I can find, and observed as much as I can from F3 and try to get better. A funny note is that I was flying under Angela@ACE(0), and a lot of people asked if I'm a returning vet or not, to be a squaded (0).
I began to fly in main server after that, and try to get better in there. Learned a lot since then.
Interesting thing to note, I had my (0) for 4 monthes ever since I joined, and I played about 70 games that counted with that (0). Wasn't until HELO come out I lost my newbie tag.
Most embarrasing moment? First time in SB (while in cadet), a big tp2 drop in main server, about 12 SB ripped in. I managed to take out my shield and missle, but not familiar with control from F3. Was cloaked and had 22 sig, but managed to ram straight into a scout without it eyeing me. Was under my hider but quite a few people said "good job, ran straight into a scout". /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
