I hope you guys dont' mind I lifted some of the material in the PA thread from the Academy. I wanted to have a decent OP. Some of it was also from some information I'd saved a long time ago when Free Allegiance was set up abit differently ... As far as minimizing itself every 2-3 seconds, I'd try hitting my WINDOWS key after logging in to bring up my start menu, and then switching back to Allegiance again. Force it to hide and then come back. I'd hope that would solve it.
If not, start your topic in the helpline and we'll work through it there.

Speaking for myself, when I was in the beta for Allegiance I ended up buying a 250 dollar MS Sidewinder, just for the game. I know how good this game can be, I've been waiting for the install and account creation to become easy enough that the numbers start to flood in.
Last night was a ton of fun and made me decide I'm going to relearn the game over again ... ideally with some other noobs to share the joy of being podded. =)

MS Sidewinder Pro is the best joystick ever - and many MANY people agree.
I use it religiously, and the moment it died I quickly bought a replacement on ebay.
Allegiance can be mastered with a joystick OR a mouse; there are top veterans in our community who use both input devices. Both agree on one point though: stick with one interface once you have it set up and master it.
