QUOTE (amsunaakage @ Dec 23 2008, 09:39 PM) let us know if this works :)

Guinea Pig, eh? That's just what I wanted to avoid.

Regarding that ASGS thing, I gather that (using linuxspeak) I have to mount the game partition as a directory on drive C:\. Will there be any side effects to that, with ...

Hi,

It's been a while. I just started asgs for the first time in... whatever. It updated to "build 165". But that's all that ever happened -- now, clicking the "Login" button makes the asgs window go away, nothing else seems to happen. (Edit: so this is sort of an FAQ, but of course I only notice ...

QUOTE (Blinder @ Aug 11 2007, 03:35 AM) Ints need to get to an aleph quickly from a base, or get to an enemy quickly from a miner/con. They don't need any boost to get to another sector, just to fight there if it is part of a push.

Lauch, boost there, defend something, boost back, F8 to another ...

Why do people believe that tampering with fuel will change Ints?
Ints absolutely must have enough fuel to quickly reach a neighbouring sector, fight a little, and get back fast. If that amount proves to be sufficient for all sorts of other crap, well too bad: reducing it even more would render Ints ...

Where have you been the past couple of years? Ints postiviley rock, much more than any other craft. Hence it's usually Exp that wins games. There are exceptions, of course, but they're few and far between.

QUOTE (AEM @ Jun 14 2007, 07:57 AM) Here's a summary of the typical game for you
<laugh>

When I was a newb, the vets asked, demanded, begged that I go play on the newbie server and leave them alone. The few games I actually played on the NS were very much like the description above. I didn't know ...

I'd say your box has about 3-5 times as much oomph as is strictly necessary for Allegiance. I've been able to play Alleg with less than that (32MB Matrox card, for crissakes) at 1024 resolution with 30+fps. If you get much less than that, I'd say you have an actual problem somewhere; and rather than ...

Yep. That's me.

I just remembered that there once was an issue with changing the email adress associated with an ASGS account -- it required divine intervention (that is, Pook's) or Bad ...
