Right, solved.
Turns out I'm sort of an idiot. A previous installment of another 3rd party firewall still had quite a bit of it all over the place: in the registry, in the hidden device drivers. Once I got rid of everything and did a clean reinstall of the game, it worked.

It is a normal home line. My ISP is UPC.

Even that didn't work, but even if it did, it still wouldn't do much good, seeing how I'm not the only one using the internet most of the time.
I guess it at least rules out some variables, but I'm still stuck.

Well, I'm lost then. I've been trying to figure this out for the better part of the last 2 days.
I've literally reset my whole network, set it up from square one. I've also tried enabling DMZ on the router, adding ports to the exceptions of the Windows firewall, reinstalling the game countless times ...

The ports the game uses are open and I've tried turning off the general firewall option in my router, but it still does me no good.
I literally can't find any leftovers from Comodo, either.

I've run that tool a couple of times, and even skimmed throught the registry myself to look for any stray entries. I've also manually deleted every leftover folder I could find. Also reinstalled the game after doing all that.
It still doesn't work.
