whahhahahaha my smart ass got this $#@!ing @#(! working (sorry for cussing)
i went into uninstall program screen in windows and saw that the .net framework 1.1 and hotfix was actually installed before i bought the laptop (i bought it around 12/20/07 installed 8/26/07)
so i just uninstalled those 2 ...

removed norton using the uninstall/install and the uninstaller from the website
and just for the heck of it i ran the mcaffee uninstaler from their website as well
it still dont let me connect...

btw i was able to log in when i installed this game b4 but what made me uninstall was that i couldn't get my mouse to control the ship through remapping or joystick enabling nothing... but now i cant even log on.. plus in the practice arena i still cant control the ship with my mouse

im currently reinstalling since maybe it has somethinbg to do with the fact that i installed it in my own directory instead of the intended c:/programfiles/microsoftgames/allegiance thingmajig
will tell if that fix the problem since there dont seem to be nothing else messing it up
