QUOTE (Arkof @ Jan 1 2007, 04:00 AM) uPNP

So far as we're concerned it allows applications (ie Allegiance) to tell your router what ports they need to operate.
I doubt Cisco will have it implemented on their routers.

With the release of R3 the toggling uPNP "fix" should no longer have any effect ...

If it's on, try turning it off.

Hrm...I have a Cisco 851w router (provided by my work)...Any ideas how to turn on uPNP on that? Or, alternatively, what that actually does?

So I got Windows Vista and installed my favorite game, Allegiance. But anytime I try to join the game it says failed to connect after a long delay. I've set the compatibility to XP SP2 and it is running as administrator...Any ideas?

So, I got Windows Vista and thought I would try Allegiance. The game installs fine and updates fine but I cannot join in on any game? I set it to compatibility for XP and it is running as Administrator...Any ideas on what to look at?
