seems that stories of crotchety dissertations for the old time vets that circulate through our community might actually be more than just urban legends /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt ...

Just be sure you clear the #*@( out when the gunners open up on the first run, inevitably they'll shred the nans faster than the defenders ever could hope /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I saw the topic in the "recent posts" list and thought I was having flashbacks to some of Nak's ravings... heh /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Close Barr- we did merge in a squad very early on but it was Das Paragon. FS was part of the "Black Orion Shadow Faction" abbreviation mash-up (BS, OF, FS, SF was Shadow Faction rather than the SF folks know now... any time there was some kind of combined-squad game the way some of the vault games ...

The one seemingly competent person on your team is ALSO warning everyone about the no-brainer bomb run about to hit. Then getting to float to the next sector over next to their pod because they were the only other person to show up to D home... and almost losing the next sector over when people had ...

QUOTE (Sycrus @ Aug 11 2007, 05:25 PM) If you cut Int's fuel, it will no longer be an offensive tech path, that would defeat the point of boosting across the sector just to dogfight. You don't send a (0) with an int into the middle of an enemy secotr an expect results, thats why you have figs, to ...

QUOTE (schnobs @ Aug 11 2007, 05:57 AM) Lauch, boost there, defend something, boost back, F8 to another base, launch... seems to be a common scenario when on D.

Current fuel supply is more than enough for this, so one could arguably reduce it a little. However, I'm afraid that a small reduction ...

Ints need to get to an aleph quickly from a base, or get to an enemy quickly from a miner/con. They don't need any boost to get to another sector, just to fight there if it is part of a push. They have WAY more fuel than they need for that, as the boosting is only required one-way and for ...

No matter the core, the problem is always the same, exactly as KGJV points out. Slash int fuel and see where that gets you. Sig is lower because they're supposed to be the fun surprise the SF finds sitting near the miner, upping it makes them sitting ducks against their intended prey and doesn't ...
