The nan thing was just an example, it would apply to all sorts of situations. Lower the barrier to gameplay is the overall idea. An example of Mercy's beam is here (YouTube).

Found out via FB, very sad news indeed. Spent hundreds of hours on IRC with him and had the chance to meet him IRL. I'm not going to claim to know him as a close friend but it sure seems that he lived a really good life.

Had a chance to play this yesterday, what a great game! It's clearly alpha and such... but fun enough to continue going (IMO). I didn't really know what I was doing and got smoked by the AI

Not sure what you're targeting, but making this work on mobile would be an excellent experience.
