A common debate in the community is the use of mouse or joystick as the primary controller. People are curious to find out which input style the top players use.

The answer is rather simple. Use the one you are most familiar with. Neither option gives an advantage over the other. Players that are used to First Person Shooters will find that the mouse is more natural. Flight sim players will have no problem with a joystick. There are great players that use a mouse and great players that use a joystick. Use the option that you are most comfortable with.

Polls have indicated that more people use the mouse as their primary controller although this may be a bit misleading. Because every modern computer has a mouse, more people are likely to start playing the game with it. Joysticks do not have this advantage.

One point should be made very clear. Do *NOT* use your keyboard to fly around. Both mouse and joystick offer large advantages over the keyboard alone.
