Allegiance is turning 20 years old next month!
It's crazy to think about playing this game in Beta in 1999 on 56k dial-up. Allegiance was one of the first massive multiplayer online games ever made and is still the only true rts/fps space combat simulator. We Allegiance players knew early that this game is a diamond in the rough, unique from any other game. The teamwork element of this game is as complex and rewarding as in real life. Allegiance is an inspiration.
We've made it to 20 years, the game is still free and more accessible than ever. We should all take a moment and recognize the rarity of an online game from 1999 that still supports a community. Allegiance is a classic.
We're going to have big 20th year anniversary games on March 22nd, at normal SGT (3pm EDT). An announcement email will be sent sometime soon. Clear your calendars for Sunday March 22nd to join in the celebration!
