Nice toy, password protected, anti forward, timed content deletion option in Gmail. I do not think I will use it often. Also it seems more like a front end makeup to me, while the backend protection is the same as a regular Gmail.

it's more aimed at companies using G-Suite for sending internal sensitive information (like passwords or private keys).

Why are you so hyped on a feature which exists already in other mail systems for decades, which is now available on G-suite?

"Hyped" is not exactly what I feel about this Gmail feature, but afaik this is the only free email service which allows email unlock codes to be texted (sms) to the recipient which he has to enter to read said email.

I still wonder what to do with it tho.

Wonder how long it takes before The Nigerian Prince sends his 5 million US dollars spam :D

It only works if sender and recipient are Gmail/G-suite or the none Google mail server supports that feature.

Played a bit with Gmail Confidential Mode, sending a test email to another non Gmail account, it does work. GMCM is just a link, clicking shows the email content if allowed. Recipient needs to "verify your identity" by requesting a code send by email or enter a received sms code.

It works with my free Gmail account.

Pro:
It's free
It works

Con:
Recipient email in English, looks like a phishing mail in MyLittleCountry
recipient might not be happy Google now knows his cell number
Spam?
Screenshot can be made of email content

Not sure if I will need it.
