Nice.
We had a prime spot about 3 hours away in Marshal, MO right in the middle of the path of the eclipse. The non-profit my wife works for has another campus there and had a public event for viewing the Eclipse.
So we show up early, the kids play with other travellers' kids, everything good. Then the clouds come in, and an hour before totality, it starts sprinkling. But there is a patch of blue sky to the South! So we load up and make a mad dash to Sedalia, getting there just in time with only a trace of haze that didn't obscure the view at all.
We only had about a minute of totality, but totally worth the trip.

I remember the first day i took my son out for a ride and he didn't like it
till i spin it
he got his pilot certification before he got his auto licences...

Cashto : my son and I plan to go to Hawaii for seaplane certification..
I couldn't hardly wait, I have several hours on the float plane but I never get certified
so we both do it together
..
