Hey, I've somehow stumbled upon this game recently and it looks like it could be great fun with some very interesting people.

Apparently weekend nights are the best times to actually find a game; is there any specific time that people play?

And most importantly, what are some things I should know/do/read/download before I actually get into my first game. What key binds should I set up, what should I practice in the practice arena, etc etc. You seem like a welcoming community, and I hope to get as entrenched in this game as all of you.

PS I use a mouse and keyboard, no joystick.

Cheers,
Luka

Turn mouse Enhanced Pointer Precision off (google how).

Turn pre-rendered frames to 1

Turn off vsync

cap your frame rates to something reasonable

Look to the upper right between "groups" and "screenshots". The wiki has major information.

Welcome Luka.
Weekends in the afternoon & evening have the best player turnout.
Read the Wiki and feel free to ask questions here or in game.

Mvem seems to be one of those rare new guys that found us possibly through one of the game posts I entered on multiple shareware sites "back in the day".

I'm curious to find out how he learned of the game.

Oh, somehow I missed the wiki portal when I was looking for guides to the game - thanks a lot!

I found out about the game when I stumbled upon a 2 year old post on reddit, on the subreddit of another niche game called Space Station 13, haha.

How often do we get a game going anyways? Im new to and wanted to play a newbie game, but the only (only!) server that was listed was a completely empty newbie server...

Is this game dead?

Hey there DeltaX! I saw you online here earlier:

Players Online

But by the time I logged on you were logged off!

The game is pretty dead during the week, but I will log on in a couple hours and look for you. Gotta run some errands first. Sundays are the most active days.

Also, if you only see the newbie server listed, feel free to click "create game" and start a new game server.

Maybe we could start a "newb Wednesday" gathering? If we know people are going to show at a certain time, the games are more likely to happen.

Sry Ryujin, the time difference between means I really cant do any playing today, although i really appreciate the offer!

midnight for me should be about 5 in the afternoon for anyone from the USA, so I might not even be able to match up a game tomorrow, but will definitely try on sunday.

Given the player base for this game, I would consider if newb wednesday maybe should be open for all, with an understanding that some of us havn't played anything but the tutorial. Also, i dont know about wednesday... but i guess that depends on when people have the time :P

How many players do we need for a game? 30? or can we launce smaller games?
