So my 10+ year old dlink is finally kickin the bucket and having some outages and just randomly dieing.

I can actually spend more than $40 this time around, so do you guys have suggestions for a good home router. Really, it just needs to be fast and easy to use. I wire my main desktop straight in, and then there's a couple laptops and that's it. Networking is one area of computers that I know verrry little.

Just googling "best bang for your buck router" gets me the ASUS RT-AC66U. Would this be a good option? If not, can you suggest something else.

I always liked Linksys routers. IMO,if you got 10 years out of a Dlink, you've been lucky.

Because it is a spammer targeting forum posts containing routers. Deleting the response now but he inserted a link into the quote at "good home router" hoping no one would notice.
