*Dome@Z (Omicron Hive Adv Expansion, Adv Tac) v *California@XEXY (GT Adv Expansion)
Map: Polished
Settings: Med-Med
Zenith opened low, planted tp next to U rock in low sector next to home, planted op in Thrale (low).
XEXY opened high, planted both tp and op cons in Eich (high).
Zenith got expansion up low, XEXY ripped in their exp con and walked it to U rock at Zenith choke (Velantia) just as Zenith pushed an op to Vel, both cons built.
Zenith started focusing on miner-o, took a large force of ints from vel to eich and scored one miner kill. While this was happening XEXY launched a bomber with 7 nans from their expansion and killed Zenith op in Vel. XEXY rolled on Zenith expansion low, but the exp was 7k from the aleph and Zenith heavy ints came online when the bomber was about 5k away. Zenith launched 8 heavies and stopped the bomb run.
Zenith got a tp and op up in XEXY's choke (Delgon) and used that as a miner-o launching point.
XEXY ripped their Pali in high, and walked it to Yavin where it eventually planted.
Zenith continued to harass XEXY miners both individually and collectively with some success. Zenith never lost a miner.
Zenith HTT's came online so I took one from home to rigel, to their expansion in Vel (1.7k from aleph). I ended up bouncing once off the green door (as an homage to Kummy?) and was then spiked, run failed.
Zenith got an uneyed op up in high in Ploor, in-between XEXY's home and eich. This time Kumquat took the HTT and a large escort and successfully capped XEXY's Gar.
At this point the map looked like this:
XEXY started trying to mine, but Zenith massed ints, rushed the miners as they were at rocks, and spiked two of them out from underneath XEXY defense.
Zenith got a tac, and started working towards SBs.
Kumquat set up an htt in Helios, aimed at capturing XEXY's expansion. I pushed an opcon in there from Thrale, an aleph on the opposite side of the sector. Kumquat successfully captured the expansion.
Zenith pushed an op to XEXY's pali, it planted, and we camped and captured. GG
Looking forward to playing you guys again next weekend!
