I would like to see the plan for recruiting newbies. 57 active players? I love the game but the community is too toxic to retain any new players. Thoughts?

Solid plan by Broodwich.
I propose that we implement it in two phases.
Phase one - Take a giant step backwards.
Phase two - Literally $#@! your own face.

I believe it is less toxic than before

The plan for recruiting new players is multifaceted:
-
The community has easy ways they can help advertise the game
- Continue to use paid
Facebook and Twitter advertisement to draw in new players. (I still have 65% of the funds donated from the community)
- We're still working on getting the website updated and that will help draw in people as well
- Raum is working on updating links on the various gaming websites that Allegiance is mentioned/featured
Additionally we are having a squad rebuild. I'm working on making some new banners for Facebook advertising this and a mass email is going out shortly.
Recruiting new players is only one side of the coin. Keeping the new players is ultimately what we want. This will happen with the help of the community:
- Get new players on mumble
- Get them interested in squad play
- Teach them the game and not rage at them when they struggle
Once new players join a squad it's on the squad to train them even further to ensure we have good players for the future.
And on your point about how the community may be too toxic to retain players, we will just enforce the ROC and TOS.
Come back and play some games YM! We've been having many good games on the weekends and there is even some weekday action every now and then although it is still rare.

Used to be able to come home from the bar at 1am and play straight till the sun went up, it was when the Euro's started logging in that you knew you should probably hit the hay.
That continueous late night made it possible for Euro's to have a strong prime time later in the day, which, in turn, fed NA prime. A strong late night is critical for a healthy Allegiance. Even if it's just 2v2 or 3v3 games, it's a greeting for new players who start the game at bad hours to let them start flying a little bit.
