I think the people that like Biden will of liked his performance.
I think that to anyone who has not made an opinion about him yet will of thought that he came across as a rude immature teen.
I don't think he did him self any favors.

I felt he asserted himself in the face of the outright lies Ryan was saying. Ryan has 13 years of experience while Biden clocked 36 years in the Senate, with the last twenty years being spent on the Foreign Relations committee. He killed Ryan on foreign affairs and did even better on domestic. Ryan was out of his depth with the foreign stuff. With his seniority and experience, he felt more like a professor giving a stern talking to rather than a teenager being rude.
What sealed it for me was when Ryan couldn't differentiate between religion being a private matter as opposed to a public one. Biden clearly came off as someone devout but who realizes it isn't his place to interfere in the private lives of the citizenry. I'm anti-religious but Biden earned a lot of points in my book by articulating the separation between church and state and how it profoundly affects individual liberty. That part and the foreign affairs part of the debate were the most powerful.

Way to get the point of a vote. Is that a clever commentary on the whole election maybe?

Personal comments aside, Biden really sent the guy packing. Ryan just doesn't seem to have a solid plan. Are people running for president just to get Obama out of office?
