I do not believe we will make it to the fall tournament with squads intact, and not having squad games in the summer is not helping.
We need to consolidate all remaining squad players into 4 squads.
I am aware of the pride that squads have and how the thought of merging is a turn off, but desperate times call for desperate measures. We no longer have enough people to populate as many squads as we have now. With 4 squads we could have squad games every weekend, have enough time to mesh before the tourney, and have squad games more than 10v10.
You all must know that merges are inevitable or we should just uninstall right now. There is no point to continue to think that our inactive players will someday come back. We need to evolve to the player base.
Outright merging is one option.. having a player base squad lottery is another.. There are numerous options for how we do it. It will take patience and a willingness to compromise from all players.
In order to keep the game going squad consolidation must occur one way or another.
What do you think?

I agree.
If you cant show 10 as a squad theres no real point in having a squad, you just holding loyal squadplayers back.

They can always split back into the old squads as player base grows. Inactive players do return, though. If someone comes back and finds 20 vs 20 pick ups on a steady basis, then themselves would then keep playing. Another reason to implement an auto comm feature.

Sympathetic idea. But where do you draw the line? Merge to 4, 3, 2 squads?

Address the need as it's required. 4 would be good for now. 3 or 2 later wouldn't be the end of the world. Whatever it takes for games.
