Many people complained about lag problems after releasing R5. Since February 22nd FAZDev (R6 beta) is using the old network code of R4. Now you can directly compare the changes again and we want your feedback.
Mach3 and FAZDev are hosted on the same physical machine, so distance and network between you and the server doesn't matter.
If you got some time, please write down your experience while playing on FAZDev (R4 network code) and Mach3 (R5 network code).
Thank you.

It seems you get less small jumpy ships and more "Oh im gonna just jump 600 away" although that might just be because ive been getting issues with mach lately.
But most importantly Phal is getting whored on more, so overall an improvement.

Yes, there's still some hoppy-ness, but much less drastic. Those who used it can no longer rely on it. I think this is an improvement. Also, games on R6 have been really fun, the fog-of-war changes demand more teamplay and make the games more varied. Thanks for the hard work!

a lot of the gun damage that was being shrugged off in r5 is back, you can actually engage at long range again!

Sounds like possibly a frame rate issue as well? Can you check your fps when this happens?
