Hi community;

It may or may not be appropriate to start a new thread in general for just an "I'm back" note, but my squad changed in the time I was gone (the SRM forum is missing) and all of my friends from the community seem to be all over the place now!

Anyways, I've spent the last few years traveling around the world doing development work in impoverished communities. I work with Engineers/Doctors without Borders and serve as a professional liaison in the telecommunications and networking space, since my background is in embedded software and radio technologies. Spending time abroad in Africa, South America, and the subcontinent has really taught me a lot -- but I am glad to have finally returned to the US. I'm back in Colorado studying and working at the University in Boulder, and I am looking forward to spending some time online again with my fellow Allegiance players (I once again have broadband Internet!) playing in the evenings and weekend afternoons MST.

If you don't remember me or if the community has had a large influx since I've been gone, I've been playing on and off since the AZ/FZ days. I'll have some reading to do about the balance changes and whatever the new 'cores' are since I was last here in 2008 or so. Looking forward to talking to y'all again soon;

Ty.

SRM merged with ACE to form MEC, so head there for a recap, other than that welcome back and someone you're more acquainted with will be along shortly :)
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Latest cores are CC12, XC06. XC05 still gets played often. Where ever you end up, squadgame times are 3:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Sundays, and I'm way too lazy to translate that into your wacky, backward timezone.

In any case, welcome back. =D

Well, well, well,

wellcome back.

you probably don't remember me because you were one of the good pilots and i never have been.

On the other hand, being one of the worst players may have made me stick out in your mind.

Gandalf brought me into the SRM.

soft hearted bastard.

good to see you sir, and sounds like you've been having a good life.
