Next time you dick with the pointer speed, how about learning something about windows pointer ballistics first huh?

I'm sick of this (OVER) sensitivity due to coding from fools who learn at our expense. When you removed windows control over mouse speed, you completely wrecked the acceleration curve provided by windows.

Thanks Imago.

Eh, I had the same problem and it annoyed me to no end as well at first, but there's mouse sensitivity control built into R6 now, and I found fiddling with these in-game settings, I could eventually find settings that were comfortable.

I'm afraid it doesn't work that way. This is not a matter of finding what "feels" ok, but rather how controller speed relates to pointer speed using an acceleration curve such that the faster you move the controller the more acceleration you experience in the pointer and the slower you move the controller the more accurate the pointer becomes allowing subpixelation (Very high accuracy). By divorcing the controller sensitivity input from being managed thru windows control panel, we now have a controller speed improperly matched to the acceleration curve which completely removes the accuracy it was designed to deliver.

The curve and speed setting in windows control panel is calculated to provide pointer movement without skipping over pixels so that when you try to draw a circle you don't end up drawing a square.
Pointer Ballistics for Windows XP Applies to Vista / Win7 also.

Mice users are almost incapable of detecting this since they can easily slide the mouse on a 2D surface to aim, but it's a total train wreck to anyone with a joystick.
