Only 3 options for number of flags, and if possible and someone is free to make a small change would be to increase the choices in the menu for CTF to include 15 & 20 flags.

Other notes;

-If doing CTF/Conquest games, victory should result in either condition I'd think and right now if you lose your tech/garr you can still play on, could be works as design I suppose currently though if you've set both win conditions either should fulfill victory.

-Flags in the end game stats page would be nice, to see who captured what and all that fun stuff.

Thanks

I don't know, this sounds like a major change, we may want to consult the community and get a majority vote...

The number of flags (and most game settings) is defined by newgamescreen.mdl, an artwork file. Changing it doesn't require a code change, just a modification in notepad and then autoupdate. Madpeople had a few improvements in the works, but it never got tested properly: http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index...showtopic=56011

If you want to add the extra CTF options (it's near the bottom - FlagCountNames and FlagCountValues) and test it on a LAN to make sure it still works, go for it. Maybe you can finally get Madpeoples changes implemented as well.

Oh, I tested it and it (adding additional values) worked. It's only my last post that I didn't test (I added some extra suggested values from that thread, it should work fine, but I hadn't tested that particular newgamescreen.mdl).

The changes you make only show up on your end, but do correctly configure the server - everyone else (who doesn't have a file that matches yours) sees the wrong values when you select ones they don't have.
Pook worried that people might abuse that (i.e. not tell people what the settings they set actually are) so he asgs locked the file. I approached the senate to make mine standardised but they didn't seem to understand the concept of adding additional values so never did anything with it.

Feel free to copy the newgamescreen from that post, make your changes, test it, poke pkk and tell him you've tested it and it didn't crash and ask if he can push it via ASGS and lock it as the one and only allowed version.

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye
