My mouse just died, and i decided to play with keyboard.
I think there is an error with pitch up/down.
When in normal view, I hit the bpitch up key(up arrow at the moment), ship turns down, with pitch down ->ship up.
In F3 pitch up moves up(north), pitch down moves down, so that is where it works correct.

Games like this typically have "Invert Axis" options, check to see if that's anywhere.
It's a feature, not a bug. Pressing "down" is like pulling back on a joystick, which makes you pitch up, and vice-versa. The option to reverse it is somewhere in the game settings, but then it will not work correctly in F3.

I got the Logitech g9x the other day.. not bad at all though still getting used to it.. good mouse if you use the claw grip when handling a mouse

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

It is labeled "pitch up", not pitch forward aka backward down.
